The first Jumbocruiser

Globus were the first owners

Der Bus: http://www.luxusmobil.com

now has room for a small car!

The first one started at GLOBUS-REISEN, Köln, Bonn, Leverkusen with the plate BN-PH 106 at the End of 1975.
Before that it was presended to the public at the International Automobil Exhibition in Frankfurt at Main in 09/1975.
It was used by Globus until 1979, when it was sold to a small company in Austria.
They had an accident with it in 1981, and couldnt afford the repairs.
The coach was sold and it took until 1986, to find a new user.
The man, who bought it, began to rebuilt it as a motorhome.
He made nearly everything new on it.
In 1995 (between 1986 and 1995 the coach only covered about 100 km) then he sold it.
Two guys from Burghausen in Bavaria bought it and did the rest, which you can see on the internet (DER BUS).

You may also notice that the trailer axle is further forward on this vehicle than on all other Jumbo's.
I assume 2 reasons for this: 1. better handling/ride characteristics, 2. The N138 was designed to optomise seating capacity, this layout permitted 8 passenger seats behind the wheels, I believe that all of the vehicles built had a luggage area in this location so the axle could be relocated to an optimum position.
